its because its a bigger tyre. being a bigger tyre the suspension
doesnt have to flex as much to get the same height because
the car is nearly at that height with the tyres on. if you get what I mean.

That day we both had the same size tyres on, you have a higher
ride height than me but mine has more flex.

okay. lets say, ride height of the hub is 250mm and the hub height at max flex is 500mm, if the ride height of the hub with 31s on is 300mm,
the hub height will be 550mm. thus gettin further up the ramp because of the bigger tyres. Understand? Kinda?

Depends on how you play the game. In flex comps you drop you tyre pressures in the compression tyres to almost nothing, thus allowing the car to run almost on the rim. The drop tyres you run as high as possible to get them to balloon out thus staying in contact with the ground as long as possible.

maybe because the off-set is different with my 31s they stick out further alowing more artculation :wink:

your 235s have the same off-set as my 31s :wink:

I have 160mm from the end of the axle to the outside of
the rim/tyre wall. I didn't think yours had that much, and I'm
running 8" rims. & how much flex you have is nothing to
do with the offset of the rims... its just because the extremes
are 31's. My front tyres scrub like shiiiiit on the firewall, well they
did the other day on the ramp. :roll:

im just saying with the bigger off-set (the further my wheels are apart) maybe why i get more flex :wink:

More weight on the end of the axle will help it twist more too.

thats what i thort too but with a bigger off-set it will act as a leverage coz the wheels are further apart :wink:

Its the wheel offset thats doing it. Tyre size doesnt really come into it, but offset will allow you to get further up the ramp for the same acutal suspension movement range. The wider the track is the less angle the axle needs.

btw eski.. u still got the 1.0 that the lwb came with? :lol:

reckon the cam siezed in the HT

would just do the head n cam, but then paranoia would be the oil pump/journels will be stuffed/clogged..

you can have the head from the 800cc lj i have....just come get it. it also comes with a dodgy turbo manifold....
