Ive been waiting for like 3 weeks trying to track down some unused steel and scavenging through my worksites for a piece, but to my luck i found a steel handrail that must of been made up for some stairs. Its been sitting in the front yard for ages but it just never occured to me that i could use it lol. So its a piece of 125x50x4mm rhs. I wish it was about 200mm longer so it could of wrapped around the corners a bit further, but hey for a scrap piece its bloody perfect. Im copying bogfrogs design almost (sorry mate) and i plan on putting the same shackle brackets on as his. Maybe track down some new led lights etc etc. So i started to cut it this arvo and bend the 2 corners ready for welding tomorow. Also some pics of my stereo install, 8inch alpine subwoofer,alpine/ipod deck, alpine dd linear 6.5inch splits dodgy cabling and a shitbox kenwood amp. UPDATE Scored a very good condition arb bar for 250 bucks this weekend |

yeh the corners will be 45'd, i tryed cutting out a v section then hoping when i would bend in the wrap around piece the gap will be nice and tight and weldable, however being a carpenter and not a steel dude, there was a gap in the bend, so i end up cutting them through completely then they will be welded a tight 45. |

bit of an update, didnt realise how little time i get to work on the suzi. holes cut for lights, halfway through mounting them, bar is in primer and will be getting painted satin black, still not done yet, need more welding for towbar hitch, and also my reverse lights arent working so i have to trace the feed wire to the back and see what the go is. |
