G'day

there was a few posts about shrockwork sliders (link below).
http://www.shrockworks.com/Suzuki-Samur ... 16143.html

here is what i did with few small differences. what most people and me included don't like about the design is that sliders bolt to the body and chassis. I mounted them only to the body. using 4 bolts through the floor and 6 (4 would be prabably enough :) ). I removed stock plastic seals, removed metal rusted brackets cleaned everything with flap disc resulting with only 1 small 5mm hole in one rust infected spot, painted etc. I cut off most of that hot pressed (welded??) ends of sills leaving and enlarging drain holes. water drains now on and outside of angle shaped rock-sliders. I used RSH instead of pipe for side step, because it was easier to cover them with checker plate. it's not slippery, protects a bit from mud and match few other checker plate bits on my zook. all feels very solid and strong, I did not use high lift jack, because I don't have one, but I wouldn't hesitate to. I leaned car onto the sliders on some deep ruts and banks with no problem.

finished sliders, checker plate not on yet
