Didnt get much Buildup pics of this as it was fairly quick to make up. So Basically, The plastic bottom section of the front bar of my MK1 shape Jim was poo. Front chassis hoop points were a mess and ripped off. So, Make some stonger 4wd ones! Cut the old shit flat chassis mounts off. Mark out some holes to drill. Some people might want to crush tube the chassis, I didnt, I just welded 4 m12 nuts on the inside of the chassis, a side. Bar is made up of 2off 100x5 flatbar and the side edges/hoops are 8mm?from memory? Basic pics to get an idea. A winch could be added for a stock look if wanted.
This makes the plastic bar abit flimsy, as its only then held on with plastic clips and 2 screws at either end in the guards. Depending if you care, Some small brackets can be made to hold the bottoms of the bar. It would stop alot of the movement. |

I got snatched off of this bar. It's so simple and neat, I didn't even notice it at first. |

i've got 2 of the 4, reckon the last time i welded anything was 98 or 99. welded a fair bit in high school + the cortina resto's, i'm sure i'll pick it up again, but it's been a while. |

One of the better welders I've ever met is usually 10 cones in before he even starts welding.. |
