The old GV sway bar links were almost knackered so i made some myself.
Should last longer that the original..i hope
cost $20 for the ball links and then a couple bucks for the bolts.

Time will tell, but my guess is that's not going to last long, especially as it looks to be close to binding as it sits. I know lots of sway bar links use small heims, but they're normally on longer links and and don't see that much angular misalignment. (such as the currie antirock) Interesting experiment though. Other side is alot straighter as sway bar was not quite centered when i fitted them. I might have to space them out a bit more to get them aligned better but it was dark when i bolted them up. Ill test them out on the weekend and report back. |

they held up better than i thought.....lasted 2 runs up that spur track with out any issues. Ive since taken the sway bar off as the mount bushes have flogged out. |

I usually carry a spare as these things are the first to go when off road, usually break one every trip. But luckaly last ones have lasted a fair bit longer. I think they break because of the lift, they really need to be a tad longer from sway bar. Get them for $45 a set delivered. These look a hell of a lot more stronger! |

I ran these on the front of my Mitsubishi Delica for over 2 years, with no problems. They copped a fair flogging over all types of terrain. |

Well ive had these back on the GV since last Christmass and they are still going strong. Only problem I've had is the bolts coming loose.... Easy fix while on the trails. |

Well the links I made up finally failed. They coped heaps of abuse and lasted longer than I expected..... So I came up with another idea....  What I used was a outer steering tie rod end from some Honda coupe..... I had to drill out the bolt holes in the ends of the sway bar to 13mm and grind the taper on the tie rod down a bit to get it to fit... They were a bit tall too so I cut 20mm of the end and bolted them in using a 12x1.25 bolt with Commy shock rubbers on the lower arm. They are a lot stronger than the originals as seen in the Pic. Also they have a lot more angle of operation. Will give it a trial run tomorrow and see if they work... |

You seen the double ended links? They have a long threaded rod joining the two, you can cut them in the middle and have to for one! |
