Who makes and sells these for the Vitara ? What are the costs ?

I have a narrowed Vitara rear... Vitara short shaft and Samurai short shaft. No reason why a shorter Samurai shaft can't be had ?

Cheers.

I'm not sure quite what you're asking.

I made up a run of spindle adapter plates and seal rings some years ago. They're all gone now. These were to suit the Vitara bearing housing.

Those who bought the kits had axles made by a few sources out of EN-26, HyTuff or 300m.

ADD engineering makes full float adapter kits, but I believe these suit the WT Sierra backing plate bolt spacing/bearing housing and use Mazda (?) brakes. My adapter used Sierra front brakes, with the intention of the front being ventilated Vitara estate wagon rotors and callipers. ADD's kit can retain the handbrake, mine did not.

it's not a complicated adapter to make if you use suzuki brakes and eliminate the handbrake (or have a Suzuki with a transfer mounted handbrake)

I was looking for a supplier/vendor for the kits if they were still being made.
Unfortunately you pretty much answered everything that I didn't want to hear.

So seeng as I can't get them down under, I found this kit, that I may go for instead in Euroland.

Why can’t anyone design axles properly? Those axles are garbage. The axle diameter away from the spline needs to be less than the diameter of the root of the spline. Don’t buy any axles that are made any other way- they’ll just twist at the spline. I have a small collection of broken 300m axles made by someone who thinks 300M is indestructible so you don’t need to design an axle properly.
