I made a small bar to hold a 9500lb winch for my 98 coily. I made the plate for the cradle on a Sunday arvo and got lucky and had a rain day instead of work the following Tuesday. Managed to finish the rest off including priming, painting and fitting of winch. I used 6 and 8mm plate that I got from an engineering shops offcuts from their water jet.
Got lucky and managed to find some high tensile m10 bolts from mitre 10 on the Tuesday rather than having to order online. I used a tig for the welding and obviously I'm no welder, I slap some timber together with nails instead.
