i made this box to store stuff yesterday 12mm ply screw & glue
(rough and bodgey) but it has a place for jerry and gives me a flat load area
all up cost of $120 including jerry

no sorry
just take measurements to mr ply&wood (free cutting)
bag of screws, glue, contact adhesive,hinges, and a mat from carpet court
best thing is you can make it custom to your requirements.
do base first, then put all walls on, then fixed top pieces, hinged doors
finish with carpet and paint. contact is very messy. laurie

i did a similar thing in my softy, bit bigger though, check out this thread for some build-up pictures

p.s. how do you go with accessing stuff when you've got stuff on top, is there a rear access door or anything???

i left enough room at the front for the fridge
the only other heavy thing on top hopefully will be a water bottle
no rear door the cut out bit is to get the shovel out easier
the overhead console has auto eject too lazy to put it all back
rods are going on the inside of the roof
no way im going to put anything on the outside
only me and my boy going to katherine so room should not be a problem
really an esky and a change of clothes what else do ya need :wink:

It's a suzuki, so a tool box would need to be included :?

i have added a rear shelf over the back door 320mm x 1040mm x 12mm ply
held in by ally right angle. with rear tie down points. cost about $10
ill use it next time i go camping for all the bulky stuff towels,tarps, coats ect
i reckon it would hold 10 to 15 kg off road easy.
now to redo the front one to hold both radio's and the clock.
