4x4zook PM'd me asking about the late model g16 dizzy. I figured i'd post up the info I have in case someone else was chasing it. AFAIK all X-90s had this engine, as well as some late model 16v Vits.

This is a pic of the module out of the dizzy. The big transistor with the mitsubishi logo on it is the ignitor.

This is the wiring diagram of the dizzy. The extra info is from my Megasquirt install, but it should be the same for any aftermarket ECU.

The only thing here that might need clarification are the Megasquirt labelled items. "Megasquirt DB37 pin24" is the output from the cam position sensor, and "Spark output from Megasquirt" is the signal from the ECU that says "Hey Mr. Coil fire NOW!!!"

Have a look at the diagram again. Pin number is right next to the colour. Pin 1 is ground pin 2 is 12V ignition.

Don't mean to sound rude but from your previous posts I'd suggest to just slow down the connecting wires part a little until you digest all the info given and try to ask questions if your not 100% sure.

Automotive electronics are very rugged and can handle what a bit of abuse but they are not completely indestructible and damage can be easily done is not wired in the correct polarity.

I've noticed that you seem to be very keen to get your beast going but impatience cost more time and money in the long run especially with electronics! I'm not sure how available EFI bits like computers and ignition coil igniters and what the cost of such items are where you are from but they do fetch a few penny's around the wreckers here (if they have them).

You will get it going eventually and from what it looks like with your ECU wiring mistake you have possibly gotten off lightly so far.

Like I said before, just take a few more minutes to understand the info and start writing down or drawing wiring diagram from the available info. When you have it all connected up double check it again and be confident before you switch the power back on.
