After just lunching my new Jimny transfer these ORA kits are looking like a good thing
1- how much did it cost someone posted?
2- does someone know of anyone that does a gear set with 1:1 high range or close to it?

i finally got of my arse and started to fit my kit.
im worried tho as both the original front jimny drive shaft and the wt rear tail shaft seem to be at full compression, when the car is on the level concrete, that when it travels up it will cause some damage as there is no room for it to move.

Undo one end of shaft, see if it has any room to slide in. It may be ok.

mine was the same, had less than an inch to compress bot shouldn't need much because the shaft follows the same arc as the control arms. ORA arms gave more room for the slip yoke to move.

May need to get it shortened then. Is your kit the new version with exposed speedo ring or the older style like mine?

Also is it the new kit or the old kit, assuming you have the ORA kit?

new kit dude, only shit silver zooks have the old one nowadays..... jks I suspect the sensor isnt sitting directly over the gear wheel, and is sorta just picking up the edge of it. But im too lazy to drop the box and grind a bit off the bracket to bring it closer to the gear. viper, does yours just come n go? i find mine is perfect around town. But on the hwy it becomes dicey, and every now and then it wont go over 80kmh. Then itll just jump back to life and go to 100. Then itll be fine for ages at 100....

Could it just be a dirty sensor or cog?

Going to throw another question in, did any of the wt sierras have drum brakes? There's two transfers on eBay in tasmania but both have the drum brake. Otherwise they look good other than the missing rear flange (which ora have)

Just ran across a problem,
The WT sierra and early Jimny Jack shafts are a different spline count to late (mine's 2008) Jack shaft.
Tried to fit it and was doing my head in to I looked at the splines, the outside diameter of the yoke is the same, just the splines are different, couldn't pull my yoke apart to swap it as its the non serviceable type, aarrggghhhhhhh
Getting a price on shortening my 2008 jack shaft and im moving the transfer forward 20-30mm to allow more room at the rear for the Sierra shaft

Use a Sierra front shaft to replace the Jimny rear shaft
