Probably a little late for this bit of info but if you have sierra extractors from the old engine you can grind off the flange and make a new one to suit. I took a g16 16v ex manifold gasket to a place with a laser cutter and they made me a flange from 10mm plate in the shape of the gasket. Cost me $20. Then I got a mate to weld the extractors to the new flange and weld a nut into the pipes for the exhaust sensor and presto. Works a treat. As a side note, for the fist couple of test drives before the exhaust was fitted I found it sounded better with just the original manifold than with just the extractors. That might have more to do with the extractors being longer but boy did it sound tough!

I've fixed the temp gauge. It was upside down
This morning I drove up the road the the exhaust shop, got some strange looks going up the hill past the school
Not far into the drive, the temp gauge went up pretty high. Not quite in the red, but almost. I pulled over and the engine didn't feel that hot to touch. The gauge stayed where it was for the rest of the drive, only another 10 mins or so. When I got there, I felt the engine again and it seemed pretty normal.
As soon as the ignition is on, the gauge goes up about a quarter. I don't think the engine is running too hot, maybe I put the needle on the gauge a bit high?
edit: I ended up using the stock Baleno temp sender and Baleno gauge.

Jimny Hurricane extractors
They clear the chassis rail by about 10mm. They don't "growl" as much as my old Lukeys, but it's still a nice note.
Finished
Thanks for all your help fellas!

Here's the part number etc for the EXTRACTORS
I haven't been offroad for a proper test drive yet, but she absolutely hammers on the street
Sideways out of roundabouts, burnouts, you name it.
She even did 120km/h going UPHILL!

I just got some efi vitara lukey extractors from eBay and a quick fit looks to clear might just have to take out a little of the engine mount bracket.

I used my original 1.3L starter, ground down so it will fit. (You can also use Vit 1.6. The Baleno starter has a different bolt pattern)
Original flywheel, machined and a new spigot bearing installed.
Excedy HD 1.3L clutch.

If you have to buy a starter, get a Vitara starter. It won't require any grinding.

If you use a Vitara EFI pump, it will bolt straight in.

Yeah people on here just say vitara pump, but what they mean is the whole assembly.
If you go to a parts shop for a vit pump, all you get is the pump! No mountings!

My pump from a 2000 Baleno bolted straight into the Coily tank.
It all lined up perfectly. You did try rotating it didn't you? To get the holes to line up?
Edit: And notice the plug with the pink and black wires? That's from the Baleno too, made it nice and easy to wire up

Hey man I ended up using the vitara plate. I just opened up some of the with a round file. The baleno one looks like a better choice. Those plugs are so much better. Mine is wired using crimp connectors.
