Forget which ones I used but easy to get off and would be a good spare.

Hey guys, sorry if I'm asking questions that have already been posted on this thread but I am currently putting a 1.6 baleno motor in one of my sierras, having a few issues with working out how much of the sierra sump needs to be cut for the crank angle sensor and also the wiring loom, I did read here a while ago that there is a place where I can send it to be changed?

FWIW, Super cheap auto online (through the parts guide) do a pair of VL engine mounts for $37.74 with free postage.

I think I put up some pictures in my build thread of doing the sump, it's probably not the best way and it's not been tested with the motor running yet but it bolted up spot on. Search my post history for a thread titled daisy and you will find it!

Yes unless it's a coily or you use a surge tank and extra pumps.

What car is it going in?

Coily tank bolts into SWB, LWB soft top and Maurtis' or with custom mounts the 40L SWB EFI Vitara tank can be fitted.

For traybacks (maurtis' excluded) you can fit the 55L LWB Vitara or the 80L EFI Holden Jackaroo tanks with custom mounts (There are a couple of threads with pics floating around)

Coily tanks are the same as 1.3 leafy tanks except they have a swirl pot and can be fitted with an EFI pump/pickup assembly from a vitara or baleno

Thanks so much for this thread Cairnszook, it's been really helpful!

those 2 hoses are vacuum hoses & reconnect to your inlet manifold (if no one gives a better explanation please bump this & i'll take photos of mine so you can see where they go).

that other big hole i'm pretty sure is left as is (as before though bump & i'll take photos tonight to make sure).

That one in your right hand goes to the hole just at the end of your fingers. You are missing a part it connects too.

I think the other one goes to the fuel Evap canister??

Re the temp sender issue
There is a location where a temp sender can be installed on the thermostat housing. If you look closely, you will see it near the baleno temp sender
I ran a 8.8mm drill bit through the little spot and tapped it to suit the sierra temp sender.
