We have a new group forming to lobby government with regard to vehicle modifications in NSW. Its made up from representatives from all motoring enthusiast groups encompassing Hot Rods, Street Machines, 4wd's, Motorcycles, Classic Cars and ICV's. Shannons insurance have got behind this group and at this point all looks promising. http://www.confederationofmotorclubs.org.auA conference is being held on the 26th February 2012 at Eastern Creek Raceway with government representatives in attendance, questions will be asked of them by enthusiasts attending. A downloadable flyer below.http://www.confederationofmotorclubs.org.au/pdf/conference.pdfShould be a good day with a large car show representing all of the enthusiast groups (4wd's will be 10-15% of vehicles) along with trade displays. Entry to this is car show is FREE and open to all. The Suzuki 4wd Club of NSW is displaying vehicles and has delegates attending the conference. If you care about future modifications to vehicles in NSW its in your best interests to attend this event. PLEASE NOTE: this is not a protest day.

It was good, I'll put something together over the next few days with regard to it. As zook drivers I feel we might be able to get a workable solution.
Fwiw when the minister left we had open questioning directly to the RMS, I was impressed.

That's all pretty cool really.. Seems fair?
I assume an unregistered vehicle on a trailer cannot be defected?

Looks like people lie Guidance on raising and lowering light vehicles is currently given in section LS in VSB 14. http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/registration/ ... dards.htmlWhat standards does my vehicle need to comply with? ADRs Schedule 2 of Regulation Q Does compliance with Vehicle Standards Bulletin (VSB) 6 or (VSB) 14 mean that my vehicle complies with applicable vehicle standards? A If your vehicle complies with either VSB 6 or VSB 14 you can be confident that your vehicle complies with applicable vehicle standards, pending certification. However, there are alternative methods of proving compliance that your licensed certifier can discuss with you. I wonder what these alternatives are? The old rules? And more crap, Where did this come from?? All made up?? http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/registration/ ... eek-qa.pdf

If your vehicle passes a brake and lane change test, your well on your way to having it engineered in NSW.

I just hate how they keep changing things without telling anyone.
My project has been going on for too long. It's my fault. But since i started this project, the vsi50 popped up. It makes me annoyed! For years and years these rules didnt change, now they want to change them every month.

Theres lots of guys in your position, you probably just need to talk to an engineer and see what he's happy with.
