I have a glitch with the driver's side door sensor (only) on my Jimny. Symptoms are:
- Unlock remotely with keyfob.
- Cabin light illuminates, doors unlock.
- Open driver's door, wait ~20 seconds.
- Cabin light extinguishes, doors lock.
This cycle will continue indefinitely, you can unlock again with the keyfob, and it will relock itself, the same behaviour it would have if the door had never been opened.
The only way to break the cycle, is to jiggle the door sensor a few times, and the problem will go away, until the door has been closed for a while.
Happens with, or without the 3rd party alarm system (installed when car was new) armed.
I'm assuming it's corrosion /oxidation in a contact in the door sensor, it's not registering the door as open, and jiggling it cleans / frees whatever is having an issue. Is the door sensor removable / cleanable, or is it a dispose / replace part?
