pretty sure its been explained previously, but in short... bottom of gearbox, undo sump, allow oil to drain, take note of colour and quantity. Check FSM for recommended amount, remove 4 10mm bolts around gear lever, remove gearstick, fill with required amount of oil, replace removed parts. there is also a fill point on the side of the gearbox, if you undo that and fill the box till it drains from there, its a good indication the level is correct.
check the FSM for the recommended oil. Off memory I think im running VMX80.

FSM is factory service manual, its available for download.. (will have to search, dont know the link off top of my head)

But thats basically it..

isnt a hard task to do, worth checking the shift bolt is still in one piece while you are in there with the shifter removed..

If ya doing it on your own without the correct square drive (10mm), take the filler bung on the side of the gear box out first.

Then drain ,Use a squeeze bottle and fill to overflow.

bye

Just did mine last night along with the gearbox and diffs
Got Castrol VMX-80 (or VMX-M) and change your transfer oil also while you're at it

Could pay to get one of these from AutoOne (think it was $30) and that way you save yourself undoing the top bolts etc

Also, just for future reference, there is no need to buy the "special 10mm square" socket....just use the normal 3/8" drive with extension...it fits perfectly ;)
