Gonna do an oil change and filter with spark plugs tomorrow heres my list what do you GV owners think of it Moreys oil additive 6x Denso pk20prp11 spark plugs 5.5l full synthetic 10/40 nulon Ryco Z172 oil filter Nulon Oil flush Do those sound good, I've read through others but wondering whats current |

I use a genuine suzuki oil filter and 10/30 oil |

i use 5w 40 penrite and a generic filter. change every 5k and i use kero as an oil system cleaner every 2nd change |

Check your manual, you'll see 10w40 recommended over 10w30 in situations where the ambient temperature exceeds 30*C. |

Thats a good thing for using 10w40 over 10w30 esp here in SA where summer is hot. I checked the manual and saw that 10w40 had the best range for me but other than temp ranges whats the benefit of using 10w30 over 10w40? The recommended temperature range are as follows 10w30: -25Celsius to 38Celsius 10w40: -25Celsius to no limit In other words the difference between the two oils is the 10w40 has same performance at low temperatures, but works well also above 38C So why are so many using 10w30? Because they don't need the higher running temps and prefer the thinner oil for less friction?? |
