Offered a body and chassis that is stamped 2/88.
The guy thinks it's a WT but I thought Suzuki changed 88.5 (July 1988?).
It's sitting in mud and long grass with no diffs, top or dash (tub and chassis mostly).
It has white plastic flares.

When did sierra change to WT in Australia?
Thanks for your time.

Could be early WT, they used color matching plastic flares.
Only way to be sure is check spring hangers on the rear.
If they in line with chassis it is nt,
if wider apart/sticking out from chassis then it is a wt.

My Jap WT is a Jan 88

nfi why people call it 88.5, Im guessing because it runs few NT parts as a crossover model, NT tail shafts and flanges etc. no big deal

The width of a WT plastic flare is about 3". These plastic flares also have a flat moulded section that travels over the top arch of the flare.
NT are much thinner in width.

Best way to check is the spring perch under the front of the chassis. Directly under the 100x50mm chassis rail is a NT, offset to the chassis rail is a WT

Hey Thanks,
I see the difference in the plastic/metal flares.
I'll check the flares.

my drover (1985) is as far as i can tell is a NT

the rear springs have 2 spring hangers (obviosly) one at each end.

The rear most one, is inline with the chassis rail.

However the front spring hanger (on the rear spring), is outside the chassis rail.
