If you have an Auto Lokka in the front can you set one hub to 'free' so that you can steer? |

Yes. But only to a degree. The locked in wheel will still cause some resistance... |

I have had a Sierra, and now a Vitara, with auto lockers front and rear for years. I have no problem steering. I had a problem steering when I had a welded front diff. I used to unlock one hub for steering, and only locked it again if 4wd was needed. |

Likewise. I've got an auto locker in the front with hubs that are permanently locked both on and offroad. Never have an issue with steering. |

I think you just need to man up. Auto lockers will disengage on when you back off the power |

He already has a spartan in the rear diff, he just wasn't sure how a front one would effect it. |

I got lock rites front and rear on 34s and don't struggle! Don't get me wrong sometimes it's hard but it's ok! I have had power steering set up in the shed for a year now... And undecided if I will use it or not! |
