can any one suggest 'one' place to buy all mods for?
again eg: nissan GU/GQ - snakeracing - you can find everything you need. Toyota LandBrusiers / the same havn't really found 1 place to buy all gear for the XL-7's

Suzuki Vitaras - G16A-B Suzuki Seirra - G13A-B? wth is the XL-7 called? G27A-B?? assuming that the numbers are working off the size of the engine? i have googled and i've only found what the individual parts are called, not what the engine is reffered to? specifically - 2004 2.7L V6 |

Suzuki engine names are simple, if not a little vague. The first letter Indicates the engine family, eg the G series is a range of 3 and 4 cylinder alloy block inline engines, the F sereis are 3 or 4 cyl iron block, H is an alloy block V6, M is a DOHC alloy block 4 cyl ect. The number is the capacity, rounded to one decimal place with the point removed. Eg a 1.0l sierra engine is an F10, a 2.5l V6 Vitara engien is a H25. The last letter is where it all goes to shit. Basically it's used to differentiate different variations on the engines. Hence we get the G13a, G13b, G13ba ect. The problem is, particularly with the G series that you often get different engines with the same name like an 8v carby G13b and the DOHC FI GTi G13b. what gear are you after? XL-7s arent really a highly modded thing as there werent many of them. |

any exhaust shop will be able to do an exhaust. H27 extractors i think hurricane make some... i quick google gives my outdoor auto as a supplier but i would never recommend them to any one so it might take a bit more searching Diff locks you will be able i think to run a normal GV one in the front, arb i think is an RD209 though not 100% rear in the XL7 is 27 spline so i dont think you can get a locker for it. |

Unfortunately to get all of those things... Your going to need to do alot of custom work.. The XL-7 can borrow the bars and exhausts of the H25 Grand Vitara but no Diff locks.. without a CRAP load of re-engineering and money. (Or I would have had one by now) Your going to have to shop internationally to get most of the parts you would like.. For Bar work you either have OutDoor Auto or ECB... ECB make Alloy bars with Hoops to protect the headlights and Outdoor Auto supplies the X-Rox Winch bar which does not have hoops to protect the headlights but does have a winch mounting point but I am not sure it will fit the 2004 shape due to the lights.. The XL-7 with an ECB bar fitted has a crap recovery point... So it might be wise to get a set of Custom Recovery points made up for those times when you do get stuck. Snorkel is made by a company called FTS, You can try and deal with them directly but they don't speak much english.. You can get bash plates and other assorted parts through GIZ 4x4.. They have pretty good customer service but only accept Credit card or International money order. Dobinson make a 2 inch Lift kit for the XL-7 and its essential... It takes alot of wiggle out of the rear end and helps get the XL-7 up and out of Soccer mum ride height..
