Suspension lift isn't relevant to fitting a tyre. Really, it isn't. 2" Body lift will clear 31's without an issue. |

Thanks for the replies guys. Glad I found this forum I've seen some dodgee lifts to get 31" under them. I was told I would have to go 3" body lift to get the 31" under her. I was hoping to do 2" body 2" suspension and be able to fit 31" under her. What are your thoughts. Cheers |

2" + 2" is the way most people do it, unless you want to keep it extra low & do a heap of cutting. |

Not massively keen to do a heap of cutting. Has any of you guys weld your diff instead of air lockers? |

Weld a diff but won't cut the guards? Those things don't compute. Don't weld the diff. Vitaras break axles with welded diffs. Remember when I said suspension lift doesn't fit tyres? Why is that impossible for everyone to understand? Body lift clears tyres. suspension lift tunes ride and compression travel to suit your needs. The ONLY reason to run suspension lift to help clear tyres is if you need to run bumpstop spacing. A 2" suspension lift with 2" bumpstop spacing clears tyres the same as 2"suspepension+2"body without bumpstop spacing, except the car is 2" less obvious to the cops. Same as a car with 2" body lift and no suspension lift. |

I don't mind trimming the guards but don't want to hack the shit out of them if I can just lift it a little higher. The only reason I said weld the diff is because I have 2 spare rear diffs sitting here. |
