Is it worth it, I have had people warn me to be wary as the shocks and springs can be worn out |

Well that's the same as buying second hand anything. I'd jump at old OME leaf springs. I wouldn't hesitate to buy old coil springs so long as you knew the part # was suitable. I wouldn't buy anything that's from a low quality or unknown brand. Gas shocks that aren't showing oil stains and still self extend- no problem. Foam cell and low pressure gas shocks are harder to check as they don't self extend to confirm they are still sealed. Like anything though, it's all down to price. Second hand suspension is normally pretty cheap. |

I jumped at a secondhand calmini 3" suspension lift for our Vitara. At $700 and only 2 hours away we couldn't click buy quick enough. Complete bar the front struts. We just planned on needing to change out the shocks at some point and possibly later the springs (which, as it happens, is now...) |

a bloke bought my 2" OME jimny suspension for $100 He went out and replaced the shocks immediately to find the new ones were as soft as the old ones (which only had 7000K on them) so he did a bit of cash and wasn't happy with the result but once re shocked with something more his taste i think he will have a cheaper option in the long run. |
