GV is running now but the kickdown cable is being a fuckwit.... It won't pull out all the way which causes my throttle to not be able to be pushed down all the way, so I can't plant it to drop a gear.... Anyone have any idea why it wouldn't come out all the way? Ive given it a good pull but nothing... |

Manual says pretty much jack all Read on nother forrum that may help with freeing it up hopefully. They seem to spray wd40 down the sleeve and work the cable back and forth to free it up, then put a couple of drops of oil down it to keep it lubricated, they say the cable can rust which causes it to either get stuck fully out or wont pull fully out causing the gv to be slugish. |

Yeah sussed the manual this morning but nothing Yeah tried wd40 but no luck, feels like its at its end doesnt even budge a mm. Yep I adjusted it to 2mm off but its no good. Even if I have it unbolted it barely makes WOT... |

Sounds like it's the throttle cable? |

Nah the kickback is restricting the throttle cable from moving to wot. |

What happened with this? Was it frayed? Mine is frayed to buggery at the motor end, pulled it out to take it off the intake and its shagged. |

Mine is all fixed now, thought I could do it whilst the engine was out but turns out the cable goes into the top of the valve body. My trans was due for a service, so got them to do it. Was throwing and engine light, but now thats gone. |
