Hi, I'm swapping out the sierra motor for a 2000 baleno g16b. I have searched for hours to find a wiring diagram that lines up with the ecu that ive got and had no success. Is the color coding the same on all these models but they change the pin # on the ecu? Cheers Ozz |

if you take the case off of the ecu. most o them have letter codes to tell you what the pins are for. |

http://www.ptjau.com/images/sierra/bale ... ringv1.pdf ^ that's the guide I used for my 2000 baleno, It does mention this; Quote: NOTE: This wiring diagram assumes you have a G16B from a Suzuki Baleno with manual transmission, has no immobiliser, has no EGR, has a single wire oxygen sensor and has a carbon canister with purge valve. Is yours different from those features above? |

I have now taken the cover off and it all makes sense now. I was going off the outside pins and nothing seem to line up. Mine is a bit different from the above diagram as i have an Immobilizer an EGR fitted which must change the layout a bit i'm suspecting, but I could be wrong. Thx for the help and quick responses |

Another one for yous what do I do with the Immobilizer and EGR output can they be shorted or do they have fail safe in them, or if i have to put resistance to it what resistance would they require. Thanks Ozz |

The immo can't be removed. The EGR is best kept as it improves mid throttle response and economy. Immobilizer ECUs have a slightly different pinout around the cam sensor, what part number is the ECU? Can you post a pic of the PCB? |

Can you post a pic of the full PCB, if I can see the processor and the PCB part number I can tell you if its reflashable. |

You can't flash that ECU but it must be a non-immobiliser ECU because the memory chip for the immo codes is not fitted. |

Thanks for the help on that one Rhinoman. What is the best way integrate the wiring together ie cut the baleno fuse box out of the system or leave it in. should i leave the diagnosis connector in the circuit I'm looking at cutting out the fuse box and diagnosis points just to minimize connections Cheers |

I would leave the diagnostic connector in place, it could save you having a real headache diagnosing any issues later. The Baleno loom is a bit of overkill, I replaced the Baleno fuse box with a smaller one with just the EFI fuses. |

im putting a G16b From a baleno into my sierra, having a few issues with wiring, been doing research, and every decent thread leads to pj zooks diagram. going from the box with the main fuse to the engines fuse/relay box seems to be spot on, just unsure about following the lume back inside the cab, ive stripped out the wires/relays/fuses i believed were not required A/C,ect... the wires from the main/FI and Fuel pump relay go up to a square blue connector which is very close to the pcm connector pj zook lables as A. Have tried to follow a few wires back according the connector diagram and the just dont seem to go to the right places. ive seen the page says assuming you have single wire 02 no egr and non immobilized, which i thought i had, however in beginning to have doubts. is there away i can confirm my harness matches the diagram. also has anyone got a photos of a completed harness laid out? would just like to see how many wires/connectors remain. any input would be appreciated cheers Ash.. |
