Hi guys. I've got a 1994 lwb vitara and have just put a set of 215/75r15 Kuhmo AT's on it (got them second hand with really good tread). When I got the car, the standard wheels had 32psi in all four wheels but the suggestion on the inside of the door said 23 (from memory). I decided to leave 32 in them because I was driving it 6 hours. Anyway, I got the new wheels balanced (just to be sure...) and my local tyre shop put 25 in them. To me they just seem to be a little bit flat to look at (drives fine) , I am not sure whether this is because I am use to running performance cars which much better suit higher pressures or whether they actually are too flat haha. Does anyone else run this size wheels and what pressure do you run? |

You should use the tyre pressures that are shown on the placard inside the drivers door as the maximum for these tyres on road. Because these are stiffer than the original tyres they usually need less air. To make it easy just use the placard pressures. |

^^^ this advice. I aim for 27-28PSI cold max. Even when loaded to (beyond) GVM and travelling over 1000km in a day. 25 cool is perfect for an unloaded vit. You have a great tyre shop. I have experienced new tyres fitted on my Sierra with up to 45PSI in them and about 15PSI difference across the 4 tyres. |

I think that's the first time in history a tyre shop ever put the placarded pressure in a tyre?!? |

I agree. I have to let mine down from 40 PSI plus each time I get new tyres fitted or a puncture repaired. |

I leave my new tyres higher for a short while, I think it helps seal the bead. My LWB Vitara on MT 30's is best all round at 25 on road, 8 - 15 off road, depending on conditions. |
