Hey everyone..
1st time zook owner and 1st time 4wd owner.
I am buying a stock '94 vitara estate wagon and was wondering what would be the best rims/tyres to put on it..
I wont be doing any hectic 4wding mainly just paddocks etc, but want to go on the beach a fair bit.

Also where is the best place to get roof racks/ cage? E.g. arb, tjm etc.
And should I lift it?
Thanks for all your help

Lacy

Welcome Stalksy!! Glad you've joined the zook family..

My only real advice here is be patient doing any mods.

A good set of AT tyres are fine, if your keen then slightly larger than standard (check the tyre threads for what would fit in without hitting guards etc).

Lift? Sure, but go conservative. I wouldn't put more than 40mm on any regular vehicle, even doing this it may be beneficial to consider castor correction. Others will give you a better rundown here, I'm not familiar with Vit's.

Any other mods, read plenty here and ask advice. Someone's probably already tried it and can tell you the positives and negatives. Drive your car lots, get out on trips with other zooks and have fun.

Enjoy your stay here

bumstein is on the money!
I have modded mine a little to quick (no regrets).

Slightly larger tyres (that won't scrub) are great for that extra clearance on the beach (all the V8's with 33in tyres leaving deep tracks are a pain) other wise it will go most places :)

Invest in some basic recovery gear (especially if you are going out by yourself) and watch some 4x4 vids on youtube for some great free advice on driving techniques :)

to get you on track he seems to know his stuff and doesn't dribble on!

Good luck and welcome!!
