So was looking through the ol' interweb and have seen some pics of lwb soft tops... Are they personally engineered/customised or were some rolled out stock like that? Curious because I am currently looking to buy a soft top but am thinking the extra room would be pretty sweet. Does anyone have one that can spread some light on whether they are a good purchase compared to a swb, pros and cons etc? Thanks for your time everyone. |

The LWB did come with a 'deck top' which is like a high top softy.. I've got all the bar work for it but no decktop and never seen one. Someone else can clarify. Yes there are custom jobs, usually Bulldog trimming can knock up a softy for your LWB, Here's a pic of one of their products   Shitty looking paint but the soft top is good and you get the idea

I've been looking for one as well and currently have someone in India and another in Pakistan gathering what's available. The Bulldog top is probably the nicest one I have found but for me the cost plus shipping to Canada is more than I can spend at the moment. I will post up if I find something |

Thanks for the replies...does anyone know if there are benefits off road to them? Is itjyst the extra room in back? Just looking to see if even worth doing all this or to just buy the swb softy. |

The climb better and suffer from less weight transfer. More weight can be borne within the wheelbase. I've stretched my own LWB a further 7" for these reasons. |

The only downside they have over a SWB is ramp over angle, and even then it's still better than most other 4WDs. |

Lwb are a lot better on road as well. Not as choppy as a Swb over bumps, think I need another lwb. |

LWB vs Jim is only 100ish mm longer. Easier to stretch further though. |
