Morning all...

I own a 2015 Jimny (manual) and just wanted to know what the standard transfer case gearing was? (Guessing it's 1:1 high, and somewhere close to 2:1 low)...

I'm thinking of putting the Sierra Transfer in... Does anyone know what there high and low gearing is standard? When you see 4.16:1 reduction gears, what does that equate to in high and low ratios?

Thanks

4.16 reduction gears are 12% reduction in high, 84% in low compared to 1.3 standard gearing. Not sure what that equates to in ratios, unmotivated to do the maths :)

1.3 case is 1.409:1 in high and
2.268:1 in low. Or thereabouts

Stock manual VVT Jimny is 1.00 high 2.002
4.1 transfer gears are 1.58 high 4.16 low.

I guess you'll have to work out whether you can tolerate 40% or nearly 60% higher road revs when cruising.
