Hi guys,

I have a buggared RH driveshaft on my 96 vitara. The front diff is a bitza. Steel main housing, ally centre/3rd arm housing. 5.12 gears and 26 spline side gears. (don't know is full diff centre change or side gear changed. (no locker)

Im struggling trying to find a replacement full shaft (spline to spline) for a vitara with a 26 spline inner shaft.

Will the RH drive shaft form a GV vitara fit?

besides the 22 vs 26 inner spline is there other differences with the vitara vs GV shafts?

As far as I know the GV shafts are longer, and the inner CV splined stub is also longer.

Cheers.

I have a new 22 spline shaft.
Can I just pop the inner CVs and put the 26 spline CV on the new shaft?

Gone.west I've tried that and the bearing cages at least in mine wouldn't swap over and a few other things stopped it. It's been awhile since I tried so can't remember what else there was.

If its just the outter side thats broke just swap the end over, that is if its just the cage thats broken.
