noisy power steering pulley can I replace just the pulley or whole pump must be replaced? any advice / costs GV J20a SQ420 part numbers? |

Pulley? Tried changing the belt? Pulley will probably be fine. If the pump is whining, Most likely need a new one/rebuilt if you can |

It's unlikely that the pulley is the issue. It will be the belt, pump bearing, or the pump assembly. The bearing is available and so are rebuild kits with all new seals. The hardest part is pulling and replacing the bearing. You can complete a rebuild for much less than buying a reman pump. The rebuild will only add an hour to what it would take to install a reman unit. |
