the closest i found is bunyip state forest, about 80 ks off. thing is i dont really rate the LJ on the freeway with only the 4 gears. so would prefer to keep it to 80. i'm sure the engine will be fine, but i'm still running it in, so would prefer to keep it sane
is there anything a bit closer like around dandenong ranges?

Where in Melbourne are you?
Don’t go 4wding by yourself. I’ve been 4wding for 25 years and I hate going 4wding by myself everything is heaps scarier because small problems become big problems fast.

I’d be joining the Victorian Suzuki club.

i'm in elwood . i'd be going with a couple of people in modern 4wds - they have no problem with freeways, but i do
thanks for the suzuki club suggestion, i'll look them up

Bunyip (if it’s open yet after the fires) is the closest forest with a range of tracks. No need to freeway- Dandenong road/ Wellington road/ then through the hills to Gembrook.

I’m not sure how much 4wding you’ve done but your car will be more capable than more modern 4wd’s but also very different to drive. Best to drive with other Suzuki’s to learn.
