Post subject:  Noob question regarding body and suspension lift

So im looking at a zook and its had the budy raised 50mm and the suspension raised 50mm so its at 4 inch and everything i can find says it has to now run a engeneer approval and tmr approval im just wondering if its worth removing the suspension or body lift.

The main reason for the question is ive saved a bit for just the car and getting it to qld and rego'ed i wont have the cash to also engage a engeneer to just say nah if they dont like it and have what ever they want removed and have to pay again just to keep getting knocked back.

Any help will be added to my running list of things to watch for.

The pdf page is from department of main roads qld

The following is from when qld police where doing their road blitz on 4wd's and is appently what they went off for it

Running small tyres? Take the body lift out.
Running big tyres? Take the suspension lift out.

It’s not like lift is a good thing.

Simples.

Yea will take the body lift out since i dont plan on running giant tires i mean its a small car it doesnt need 35 inch tires like some people belive all 4wd's do because at most it will live its life being a beach car with a little bit of other off road driving.

Personally I think sierras need 35” tyres for what I drive (Pretty much all the Sierras I drive with also have 35” tyres) but that has nothing to do with what’s legal.
Take the BL out if the installer didn’t cut the studs to fit it.

Ill give you the fiarness on the tires since you can go drive the high country tracks and they can have some deep ruts from what ive heard of while all i have currently is beach since im not one for driving big sloaps and that.

How would i tell if the studs havent been cut? the post only has one picture up currently.

You'd have to inspect the body lift carefully. cutting studs is now uncommon, but that doesn't mean it doesn't happen. I was looking at a car this week with a 3" BL and cut studs.

Ah ok i might just avoid it then sad tho since it was a good looking car for the price it was at.

Thanks for the advice.

No reason to avoid it - just know what you're looking at.

Yea looked at it and decided not to get myself into more issues then i can solve with the body lift plus a tin top came onto my radar as a possible future sell and its more what im looking for anyways was looking at the lifted one because it showed promise at first.
