Hi,

My first post! Just purchased a 1997 Suzuki Sierra Stockman (1.0L Maruti ute). When transporting it home (has a slipping clutch, so not driveable), I checked that the spare wheel was secure and it just slid out from under the tray!

Is there a proper way this should be stored? I cannot see anything that represents something secure to stow it away.

Thanks.

If the tyre is under the tray, then it is a non-genuine alloy or steel tray and the method used to secure the tyre will depend on the particular brand. Maruti's originally had the spare mounted vertically on the tailgate like a Sierra, but were modified to a locally supplied table top tray. Different tray makers were used in different states.
