Hi brains trust

i have searched this and have seen mixed responses from people, on a sj70 with a g16b will a HD clutch snap clutch cables and feel like shit to drive ? is it better to stick with the standard clutch ? since its not a honda civic i dont plan to be doing 4k clutch dumps at red lights with my flat brim cap sideways and i dont plan to do any kind of serious offroading just a bit off the beaten track once and a while. im just looking to get more life from a clutch.

Stock clutch. Drive it like normal person.

Get gearing to suit the tyre size.

I had a stock clutch with a rear spool and 33's, I also had 6.5's which helped the clutch and didn't have to ride the clutch as much as standard offroad.

I feel like the cable snapping thing is correlation more than it is causation.. At the point the old clutch is worn out, the cable probably is too. Just no one ever replaces a cable before it snaps =) I'm on my second, second-hand jimny clutch. They're the same pressure as a HD clutch, feel great and last forever. When this one goes I'll be popping a HD clutch in purely because I drive like an idiot, so a bit of extra grip doesn't go astray, and there's really no low-km jimnys about to score a free clutch from anymore.

Stock clutch seems to last just as long as hd ones
Incorrect gearing and driving like an L plater is what kills them. Ive done over 100,000kms on 2 seperate occasions on sierras running 32" tyres on standard clutches without issue
