looking at getting some breathers for the diffs and transfer case, should I do the gearbox while I'm at it? is there a complete kit you can buy? including the hoses, fittings.(complete kit) I know you have to re-tap them with a 1/8th size to run the fittings i think etc.. SJ80 coily 1997 cheers all
Yes its wroth doing the gearbox. At the minimum Diffs and transfer case. You can make your own kit, the ones available from ebay are cheap enough and work well.

Yes the kit includes everything to run the breathers.
Always remember to check your oils before any big trip. I forgot to one trip and chewed out my rear diff when some yummy mud found its way inside. (Didn't have breathers)
I don’t understand how that kit is supposed to work. The threads on the fittings that are visible are parallel, not tapered thread, and IF they’re suitable for tapping into the diff breathers they definitely aren’t suitable for tapping into the transfer or gearbox. I can’t see any adapter or anything else to work with the gearbox or transfer. It looks to me like a generic kit that makes the hassle of fitting it your problem.

The diff end fittings all look tapered to me. Not the filter end but that end has no need for it. It even has the smaller thread for the diff breathers!
I’ve used the same fittings (not from eBay kit though) and they work perfectly. Good kit I reckon
