Hi all, what is involved with putting a arb air locker in a sj80 coily, is it a straight swap with the diffs? Change axels? Different teeth from air locker to axels? Any info. Cheers all |

It's just a replacement centre, same as any other air locker fitment. No need to swap axles, diff gears ect. |

from what I can see on FB I think you need to sort your gearing before you add a locker. 31's and stock coil sierra gearing will be very hard on the car. Something that's not apparent, adding a locker makes the gearing feel worse because you have more traction. More traction means more load on the engine. Often, with open diffs, wheelspin is what keeps the engine running. with a locker, that wheelspin stops and the car stalls. |

Waiting for arrival, then will chuck in transfer case along with rockring etc... I've got all the stuff to swap it and correct gearing. Was just asking for future reference. And yes the gearing is poor atm. You reckon it would stall easy? Bummer. Will look more into it anyway. Cheers |

Stalling won’t be a problem with the correct gearing. |
