| Post subject: | Non vvti transfer case swap into vvti body |
Hi guys Ive just gutted my 02 jimny so I can put the r7me gearbox and [manual stick] transfer into a new [to me] 06 vvti model. Although the physical side of the swap has been a cake walk Im curious if there are any pitfalls as far as wiring to the case before I start the rebuild? Also I have the option of a automatic and manual [stick] trans case im assuming the ratios are different. Will be running 235/75/r15s so which case would suit that rolling diameter for onroad use? Thanks in advance. |

1998-2005 Jimny transfer manual and auto = 1.32 high, 2.145 low 2005+ Jimny manual = 1:1 high, 2:1 low 2005+ Jimny auto = 1.32 high, 2.64 low So the pre 2005 jimny transfer has taller low range relative to its high range. Dunno if the early transfer bolts into the later car, pretty good chance it does. |

Hey mate thanks for the info, the transfer cases have the exact same mounts and lI believe its a common swap Im just not finding much online about it pertaining to the wiring and push button module. Appreciate the help. |
