How does it feel being honoured with the nomination for Z.O.O.M. 2017?

Its great, I never thought i would be picked, not sure i deserve it, but Ill take it haha!


So tell us about yourself. Who are you, What's the meaning to your username, Where do you live, and what do you do for a living?

Well, you can probably guess my name is Josh, my username came from a forum when i was about 14 and josh was taken, my sister always called me joshyboy and so that was the next logical step, my birthday is the 26th so I add that onto most things.

I currently live in blackburn Vic and I'm a site engineer for a civil construction company.


How did you get started in Suzuki's & how many have you owned?

We had an old lj50 as a paddock bomb spotlighting vehicle when i was about 5 and i loved it! I've always had a thing for the little zooks so when i got sick of my old rodeo being bogged every weekend I sold it and bought a swb softop. despite being the biggest bucket that I paid way too much for I had awesome fun it over the years. It eventually got so trashed I took all the good bits off it and picked up a lwb tray back to start building.




How long did it take you to build your zook to what it is today?

The current lwb has taken me a year and a half and still counting!!


Any changes in store for your Suzuki?

well considering it is a work in progress there will be lots of changes! but Im hoping once it is finished it will be everything that I need/want.

What has been your best modification?

best modification on my last car was shaving the diffs, made driving ruts easy as!


What has been your worst modification?

The very first one I did, because the bug bit hard after that and Ive never stopped!!


If you could have anybody else's zook, who's would it be and why?

I think it would be edna maybe? i wouldn't mind a mildish, stockish cruising car haha.


What has been your best 4wding trip?

I have been on so many its hard to narrow it down to one, but a trip with the vic zooky club or up the high country with mates is hard to beat.
Non zooky I would have to say the simpson desert was an awesome trip!




If you could go to any place in the world to wheel, where would that be?

i would like to go to moab or fordyce trail in america, just because it looks so different!


Who are you closest to in the auszooker's community?

I would have to say Gwagensteve.


What other toys/hobbies do you put a lot of time into?

I have recently picked up a new 80 series that I've put a 1hdt into so thats eaten up a fair bit of my time.
I also like motorbike and pushbike riding and do a bit of snowboarding when I can, I just went over to japan in feb for a few weeks chasing the snow .Good fun!




What is it about the auszookers that brings you back for more?

the tech and knowledge that is here is massive, no matter the issue the answer is in here somewhere!

What about the auszookers forum would you like to see changed?

make posting pics betterer!


Now for the million dollar question, who do you select to be the next Z.O.O.M. & why?

I think Im going to choose lgp29 cos turbos are hectic brah!
