Congratulations on being selected for Auszookers Zook Owner of the Month!

Cheers :) Thanks Josh for the nomination :)

How does it feel being honoured with the nomination for Z.O.O.M. 2014?

Feels pretty good. I read these fairly often, and it's great to see the otherside of members that you interact with all the time. Hopefully mines not the boring one

So tell us about yourself. Who are you, What's the meaning to your username, Where do you live, and what do you do for a living? My name is Tim, I'm 29, live near Maitland in NSW and like long walks on the beach.... and wheeling :)

I'm self employed and fit blinds, shutters and curtains for a living

Picking my username was tough...

How did you get started in Suzuki's & how many have you owned?

I originally wanted something that would get me up the beach to go fishing, so I bought a Jimny. Then after scrolling through the 4wd Action Forum, Monley told me about this place. Long story short, met up with a few people from here, made some awesome mates and the rest is history.

I still can't believe some of the tracks I've driven in my Jimny. They were never built to do what we put them through and things break.... But damn it's fun!

I had a tintop that I was going to restore, but that got canned for my new build that has been kept a secret... but what the hell now is as good a time as any.

I have a pretty rough Drover sitting in my uncles backyard that I am planning a complete ground up restore with a twist. The twist is still fairly secret at the present, but work will hopefully start soon :)

Here's some pics of the Jimny

How long did it take you to build your zook to what it is today?
I bought it new in 2010... it's all but built, but like any build, will it ever be complete?

Any changes in store for your Suzuki?
I have a rear floater sitting in the shed, but nothing too major in the works

What has been your best modification?
Definitely gearing, follwed closely by the front locker.

What has been your worse modification?

Am I the only one that has realised the spelling error here? ^

Worst mod would have to be the 4" suspension kit I bought for way too much. The arms are junk along with the shocks, the springs were great when I first got them, but sagged very quickly and will need replacing in the future.

If you could have anybody else's zook, who's would it be and why?

This is an easy one... Mr Greens Super Sexy Blue Dual Cab... I've wheeled with him a few times and it just makes you feel special being near it. I know theres some great pics of it, but none of them do it ANY justice at all!

What has been your best 4wding trip?

If you had of asked me about 12-18 months ago, I would have said the 2013 Coffs trip. But this years Watto's Trip was a trip that is going to be hard to beat. Awesome tracks, and probably the most awesome guys to wheel with... I didn't even drive! I was navi/cameraman and still had the best time.

My trip in September to Fraser Island, Rainbow Beach, Condamine River and Nymboida River would be my favourite non Auszookers trip. All 4 of those places are asolutely beautiful and everyone should go if you ever get the chance.

If you could go to any place in the world to wheel, where would that be?

W.A. Powerlines........ :thefinger:

I've got way too many places on my list to name them all. I'm in the slow planning stages of my next trip which will hopefully be soon. Plan on going down the Great Ocean Road in Vic, and making my way across the ditch to Tassie to see the west coast :)

But seriously, I wanna do the powerlines too :P

Who are you closest to in the auszooker's community?

Deffo 31zook... We've pretty much become best mates over the past 2 1/2 years.

Tell us what the wheeling is like in your area?
We're very lucky here. We have everything from beaches to harcore crawling, all within an hour from home. I'm convinced we still haven't seen it all by a long way.

What other toys/hobbies do you put a lot of time into?

I love my fishing but don't get out as much as I used to. Also love everything music through being in bands from a young age, so I frequently go to various festivals or gigs.

What is it about the auszookers that brings you back for more?

These days mainly the funny's as I'm not in need of the tech. But this place has helped me out immensely in the few years I have been here!

Also (for the most part) theres some really awesome guys & girls on here. I've made some friends for life out of this place :)

What about the auszookers forum would you like to see changed?

You'll never please everyone. I reckon it runs alright how it is :)

Now for the million dollar question, who do you select to be the next Z.O.O.M. & why?

I'm going to throw it back to the Goldy boys and give everyone an insight into the world of Skippy. Once you get past the afro, he's a pretty cool bloke :)
