Congratulations on being selected for Auszookers Zook Owner of the Month!

How does it feel being honored with the nomination for Z.O.O.M. 2017?
Surprised! There are so many beautiful Zooks on here. I use my build page more as a record of what I’ve done, and check out that others are doing to their rigs.

So tell us about yourself. Who are you, What's the meaning to your username, Where do you live, and what do you do for a living?
We Im Dale, my user name came about as my brother used “gone.north” a lot as a user name. I spend most of my early 4x4ing days out with him. Its now appropriate as I moved to Perth several years a go. I fly Helicopters, and no its not as prestigious and glamorous as most are lead to believe.

How did you get started in Suzuki's & how many have you owned?
I Have 2 4x4s.
First is a TD4.2 patrol that I built up as a touring vehicle since I was 20. However due to work, I moved form place to place a lot and could not afford to use as a daily and take it with me everywhere. When I moved to Harvey Bay I wanted cheep everyday 4x4 that was great in the sand as Fraser Is was at my door step.

I own two Suzukis. The Vitara and a 1991 GS500E.

How long did it take you to build your zook to what it is today?
9 years and counting. Still many things to do.

Any changes in store for your Suzuki?
There are a few that will be getting all done at once. 5.82 diffs, twin lockers, hybrid drive shafts and a disc rear end conversion (I already have the brake conversion sitting read to go in.

What has been your best modification?
That’s a hard one…. There are three really: 4.24 reduction gears, turbo set up and the front suspension set up.

What has been your worst modification?
Installing a cheap 7” double din GPS, Bluetooth head unit.
Was awesome for the first few months but everything stops working. Had to re solder wires for the face, GPS no does not work and it switches off every time I go aver a good bump. ☹

If you could have anybody else's zook, who's would it be and why?
Another hard question… There are so many amazing zooks on here. If I had to pick just 1…

Zooknutters “The Tardis”
It look like what I imagine a “Factory version” of a highly modified Jimny. A very well built and modified 4x4.

What has been your best 4wding trip?
Another Hard one. It would be 1 of two trips. West Mac’s (Boggy hole track) in the NT or The Victorian High Country.

If you could go to any place in the world to wheel, where would that be?
“The long way round” but in a 4x4.

Who are you closest to in the auszooker's community?
MrRocky. Perth is the place I have stayed the longest in the last 15 years.

What other toys/hobbies do you put a lot of time into?
None ☺
I get to fly helicopters for work and get to play on the Vitara when not working.
Maybe take the bike for a ride if the weather is good.

What is it about the auszookers that brings you back for more?
The great information, knowledge and ideas shared and it’s all about zooks.

What about the auszookers forum would you like to see changed?
I like it just how it is.

Now for the million dollar question, who do you select to be the next Z.O.O.M. & why?
Who: Jr Zook.
Why: LIL FOOT
