I'll get home this arvo and have a good hard look at what I can make work, see what parts I can dig out of the shed. If not, slippers can work, like my original plan, Especially with the fancy bits like above^!

After the discussion of slipper spring not being much chop, I ditched the idea. Wheeled that frame out into the yard and that's where it can stay for a while

You were saying on the previous page that my builds get a bit out of hand hey? I didn't want to disappoint.

Boat sides are cool, I'm pretty happy with it. Other than those plated sides, the rest of the body panels will be aluminium.

Link brackets are for these. Heavy wall tube, underside will be braced/skid plated.

Weighed everything today Frame = 64kg Coilovers = 16kg A arms/hubs = 22kg Rims/tyres = 42kg That's 144kg with aluminium sheet and drawbar to come. She's turning out to be a fatty. Probably round out to be 160-165kg finished. Was hoping for 150kg tops. But the suspension setup is beafy, so for the extra weight I guess I'm gaining some tuff. It's looking pretty messy, but once I sheet it all with aluminum it should look cool. Made some coilover mount tabs, yet to be drilled obviously.

that weight is still pretty good, mine as a stocker on old olden wheels was 170ish. is this thing going to be a tear drop camper or you going to slap a rtt on top? if you're going the rtt, how about dropping the roof line just after it levels off & have the rtt tucked away out of the breeze it & having the front section as a spoiler with a lift up storage box? can't wait for version 3.2.01 oh and this photo is fucking with my head, looks like the wheel wells angle forward.

Yeah there's all sorts of weird angles happening haha! Sit tight tho, it should all fall into proportion once the lines are all cleaned up with panels. I have square wheel wells, and they are plated with steel, that's because the coilover mounts will be attached to the rear ones. The panels will create a smooth arch tho, not following the square frame. No roof top tent for me, I have a good canvas tent, takes about 5 mins to put up, fits our double stretcher bed and my young blokes single stretcher with room to spare, stand up in it, no hunching over in and out. Suits our family trips perfect. If I'm solo it's no trailer, just a swag That's why this trailer is a bit large, it's the family tourer, I can fit all the gear, tent, eskys, gazebo, my young blokes push bike, a full size BBQ if I want. Whatever. And it's all enclosed, clean and dry. Or for quick overnight trips I could even roll out a mattress and sleep inside it.
