Stone guard on, tv wired up with a roof mounted antenna and a 2x2.5 awning.

Still need to make a tyre holder and plumb the water tanks.

Narh, I try to avoid anything to do with politics. I think they are all equally full of shit and are just a bunch of narcissistic filth.

Hopefully will get the tyre holder built today so will weigh it when I get it done. What will make it heavy is it carries 160L water.

This is with everything except water and spare tyre but includes 40L fuel, generator, awning and awning tent and all camping gear etc.

Also put a different awning on as the first one was shit.

Spare tyre holder finished, just need to sort the water and power out and it's done.

Really happy with how it’s turned out. Tows really well in The bush and on dirt roads and is great to sleep in.

Getting some stickers made. Told the fella to make what he thought is good and this is what he came up with.
Just a photoshop but I reckon it’s pretty good. Hopefully will be finished when I get back to town next week

Doing a bit more work to it. The axle was bending when it was loaded so tossed the 39mm axle for a 45mm with bigger bearings.
Finally got the old stickers off so will have a go at fitting the wrap and also slap the two water tanks under it. Have been rolling on the original trailer rego so will also sort the compliance stuff for the new vin number when I get a chance.

Also found that the aircon struggled in 45 deg heat so rerouting the A/C ducts to hopefully make it a bit more efficient.

Microwave glued in.

Also found that some of the interior fittings aren’t coping with corrugated roads very well, things like window frames are coming loose
So will need to have a think about how to fix that

I sorted the window frames on my old van by taking them out and taking 6-8 mm out of the opening, fitting insertion rubber strips glued in with that grey auto shit .... be buggered if I can remember the name ... then refitting the window frames. Also used some lil washers on the (next size up) screws, also with some of the goop. They still move around, probably more than before, but the screws have not moved, and the windows are still nicely in place six years down the track ... (many tracks actually)
Just about to do a similar thing to the door.

Finally got the stickers on. Heading to darwin tomorrow and will grab the plumbing stuff I need for the water tanks.
Almost ready for beachport 2019 woohoo
I decided to make a steel strap to go over the top of the microwave to stop it bouncing
around, just need a bit of paint and it’s good to go as well.

Got the compliance check done today, no real issues so it’s now registered as a 2019 Awesome Teardrop :peaceout:

I think the aircon isn’t liking river crossings and dirt roads so thinking I will get rid of the under bed aircon and fit a proper roof mount jobbie.
Just need to work out how to make it handle the roof load. Thinking an internal frame so the weight can go to the chassis.
Going camping this weekend and it’s forecast to be over 43 so will probably not get below 35 at night.

Finally got around to pulling the AC apart and it looks like water crossings haven’t hurt it at all, there was a bit of dust
but nothing that would cause issues.
Then I found this wedged into where the air gets pushed by the cooling fan and it’s contents 3/4
blocking the thing that cools the air.
Works like a trooper now.

Also started to try working out a random indicator fault and found a billion scotch locks so need to
Get rid of those bastards and hopefully that will do the trick

Scored a 3/4G repeater so will try and fit it into the teardrop, not sure that I will get enough separation between the 2 bits but will give it a go

On the last trip I did the water tank tried to fall off so sorting it out properly with a
3mm holder/bash plate, should be able to really abuse it now.

Also tidying up my dodgy plumbing and wiring and giving the chassis a paint job.
