Nah, 60 litre water tank up back so it's very balanced with just a slight bias towards the front.
When loaded I can lift the hitch with one hand. Plus the drawbar is quite HD and runs as a spine through the centre of the trailer.

Nice work champ, I am about to start a new camper trailer from scratch. Just sold the last one I built. It was a Range rover chassis with an old series 3 LWB lany body. was bloody awesome but a tad big for the GV I think.

Cheers twitchy. It's still an ongoing work in progress.

Just finished hinging the top and installing the snap down latches.

Picked up these matching wheels for my trailers recently. The plan at the moment after polish and paint is to wrap all four in a set of either 235/75R15 ATs or 30x9.5 ATs. I'll need to run spacers on the camper trailer to clear the tub, widening the wheel arch will be necessary too.

Standard steelies are level with the body work so the alloys will be .8" outside.

Yeah Mrs ZN would never have approved a straight up purchase but didn't even notice the outgoings when it was a few $$$ at a time.
Now she thinks the camper is priceless :D She even gave me approval for building a teardrop camper if I wanted.

I still can't believe I scored a second set. A lot of work ahead to make them pretty again though.

Have they changed them at all (the tent) the listing states 1.2x1.8 they look about that in person but yours looks bigger? :s?
My actual box for the trailer will only be arround 1x1.8x.5 WxLxH this gives me room for gas bottle and jerry cans kind of under the tent on the side of the trailer

Edit, the tent is 1500x2000mm this should make it interesting ! Time for a rework of my plans I think

that would only overhang your trailer sides by 250mm, how wide are the mudguards? would it protrude past them?

Tyre choice change. I picked up five, 50% tread 225/70r15 Cooper ATRs. They're a smidge taller than the 215/75s and will be a better fit on the 7" rims.

Camper top is so much better than a roof top tent IMO. Heaps of space to spread out and the awning is enough cover for four people.

Camping season has arrived, time for a little maintenance and prep.

First up is a bit of preventative rust deactivating and paint

Finally got started on the fridge cover. Unfortunately I can't weld alluminium so steel frame which will get a checker plate skin and snap down latches. The box will be placed over the draw bar while camped and used as a food prep bench, legs slide out of the uprights to adjust the bench height.

Oh yeah, a while ago I rotated the camper top 180° so the awning extends over the draw bar/fridge/gerrys. The plan was to save me lifting the fridge off the base and sitting it on the ground while camped, downside is the rest of the drawbar in the way. With the box, the draw bar won't be an issue
