Gday guys,
was just wondering what sort of economy you guys with m13a (non vvt) engines are getting? im only getting around 300 per tank. i got bigger tyres but even before those i was still getting around 300-340 a tank.

wondering if my o2 sensor is shagged, got nearly 100k on the clock

i get about 330ks to a tank and im on 235's i was getting 400 ish on 215s! sounds a bit off?

Ok so you are saying that you used exactly 40L (hence ran dry) to do a best of 340k's. Works out to be 8.5K/L. If say in fact you didn't run dry and put in 35L that figure increases to 9.7K/L which is around what you would expect. Adding in 10% distance to account for over-sized tires/slightly off odometer that will bring you to 10.7k/l (assuming 35L consumed).

Just trying to point out for an accurate reference of fuel economy you do need more accurate figures to work it out otherwise it may look worse than it actually is.

What sort of driving was that? Town/highway/offroad? Are you running premium fuel?

hey scales take into account our hot weather to that will knock a few k's per tank off compared to the boys down south. i get 300-320km per tank in my sierra and i think thats a 40l to. im running 235's aswell. my mates jimny (same model as yours without bulbar and running slightly smaller tyres) gets around 400-450. by the looks of your avatar pic your carrying some extra wieght (car i mean) so the figures seem to match up.
id look into the smaller things first maybe a fresh set of plugs or some injector cleaner if your really concerned

I'm only a G13BB, but I average ~7.6L/100km. I get annoyed when my partner drives it and it hits 8+

My Jimny is dead stock.

Same eng as mine, std wheel's a/c on, best out of 35lt's was 460km, with the bigger tyre's on, best 428km.....

no dents in my tank either, dropped it out 5 times so far with those fuel pressure problems i was having after the cape trip. but yes your right, most times i do fill it up with about 35L or so. My milage software on my smart phone says i avg around 11.5L per 100km, and thats tracking every fillup since i bought the car 6 months ago.

Do the G13bb's have fuel lights?

Last tank i used was 91ron, almost 450k's before i got scared as it was on E and i filled up.

99'g13bb manual, Stock tyres..No ac on..to work and back, 1 set of lights, 60/80 zones only, 15min drive to and from work. Up a mountain on way home though, this might chew the fuel abit.

I got pretty much the same on mine since I bought it

but again I always do somekind of highway driving.... that it suposed to help to get more kms out of a tank, but again it means driving at 4000ish rpms hohoho

I take the expressway every day, but I rarely go above 80. Driving at 100 it chews a lot more, which isn't suprising condisering the gearing.

I also don't use the aircon much, but when I do, I haven't noticed much of a drain on the engine.

I do, that's how I know I have the same amount of fuel in every time. Keep filling until it almost overflows.

From memory, I've never had more than 35-36 litres in doing this. I get scared when the needle hits the red line on the gauge.

i used to be able to get 400km out of a tank now id be lucky to get 280 mind u a few things have changed since then

I can still get 400 out of mine. Road driving that is with a mix of highway and town still with 5 in the tank.. and yes it is a 40 lt tank.

I have a 2004 non vvt with 31's and a sierra t-case with 4.16 gears doing 100 at 4000 rpm. Which is close to factory. Also the speedo has been corrected and I checked with the gps too.

I was getting 430 with 5 left in the tank. I run on 98 premium fuel all the time if that makes a difference?

Also I have never seen a low fuel light on mine? Pretty sure it dosent have one, unless thats a top of the range thing or a factory extra haha.

Using 95 oct. I got 8.7l/100km last tank with hwy and town driving, and that's with a shitload of weight from bullbar, winch and drawer system... But mine is also vvt.

Edit: and a 2" exhaust and extractors
