Well this would be my first choice of AT as well. I have been trying for years to convince these guys that they are a fantastic tyre and drive beuatifully on the road too. Anything Japanese is FAR superior to all these Taiwanese and american tyres in build quality and design.

694's are made in malaysia now unfortunatly, they are nice on the road I feel they are a little closed for mud though. but all in all a good AT tyre

I have never seen a 694 made in malaysia and I have seen alot of 694's. Some were made locally until the Adelaide plant shut and they are all made in Japan now.

Can you show me a picture of one made in malaysia? Might have been an import but the ones we get in oz are Jap made.

I thought that too but a mate put them on his colorado a few weeks back and Im sure they said made in malaysia on the carcass.I'll check again and get back to you

There are alot of knock offs out there.

Opps my mistake they are the passenger 694's and are made in thailand.
I went to my local bridgestone dealer who Ive known for years and he tells me the LT version is still jap made but that about half of bridgestones are thai made now

Haha just something funny semi related. Rang beaurepairs to get a rough price on some new tyres. I said i have stockies on there now and im thinking of running 30's.

Then he persists that people only run bigger than stock for serious off roading AND the upgrade will put my speedo out roughly 15-20kph.

They give these guys some serious training ay?

he is generally correct though... maybe not 15-20km/hr all the time - but definitely at 100km/hr.
