Pic will help. Remove the cover of the free wheeling hub with the 6 10mm(M6) bolts. There is a circlip (No 35 in the diag) clipped in the end of the axle shaft. This will then allow the body of the FWH to come off the hub. To remove the hub to drill out the broken bolts, you will have to undo the wheel bearing nuts (No 12 in the diag, there's 2), these are a 50mm nut. You should use a 50mm socket to undo them, but some ****s use a cold chisel and hammer to undo them and then try to get an accurate torque doing them up the same way.

Do u have a t-bar wheel brace Alex? u know the ones with different size heads? if so bring it round can ya... i swear the nuts on my wheels are different sizes... lol.

no i dont but i've got sockets, a breaker bar and a pole. we can make it work.
or you can shoot down to supercheap and get one. i think there like $10 or something. i have 2 different sized nuts on my wheels too

When i go to the nut n bolt shop to buy new bolts for my locking hubs im gonna pick up some wheel nuts (all one size) then ill get a wheel tool for that size...

I finaly broke some, been carrying spares for many years.
Mine were stuck too hard for a trail fix.
Going to look into 60 series replacements.
Mine are possibly over 20 years old on the car, and even older spares.

Whoever said it was an easy track side repair, go jump

After a few hours of hammers, screwdrivers and swear words, only got 4 out.
Attempts to get out last 2 just knackered up the threads.

So now to change the hub.
Waiting for a new bearing in the post now.
(And a stater motor and new 60 series stud kit)
Bearing in the spare hub is putting up a fight, but I'll win.
It's too grindy for even me to use.

Never ever use loctite on hub bolts.

No loc tite was ever used by me, tho there was evidence of previous use.
Plenty of rust, and a bit of stray gasket goo.
Oh well, a new bearing is wise anyway, as I drove with no hub on through much dust and mud.
Think I may put some anti seize on the new ones, better for track side fixes.
