wanted to buy ad in the for sale section would be a good start.

Don't be surprised if they want to put your premium up next year...
Even if you haven't claimed, they now know that you have rolled your car. They now think you are more of a risk...

For a bit of an easier way out, seeing as it wont be raining much for the next 6 months, chop the window frames off your doors. There, no need to find new doors (that can wait until after leavers).
If Auszookers/gumtree doesn't deliver, go hunting at wreckers, most wreckers should have a nice collection of Sierras, get some quotes for windscreen frames and targa bars then choose the cheapest.
You can pit wreckers against each other, eg show one wrecker a written quote(if it's verbal they'l probably think you're bullshitting, written on the back of another wreckers business card is good) from the cheapest one you find and ask if they can do better, then go to another one and repeat.
It's a bit of a bastard thing to do but most of the wreckers will be bastards to you so it comes full circle. You'l probably find a nice wrecker, I always buy from them, but they're usually the cheapest anyway.

x2...
And...
Maybe try contacting someone like Want33s...
See if anyone is wrecking one - search Gumtree and Ebay as well - usually heaps of stuff on there.
Got a phone and internet search skillz? Maybe try Suzuki shops (yes there are a couple in WA - been to them and they seem helpful)?
Failing all of that maybe try Zuk shops over on the east coast.

primejo07 wrote: Okay the thing is my dad has his heart set on doing the insurance thing, he doesn't understand just how easy it is for me to fix this thing. So I've got to convince him about that. But I agree, sourcing and installing the parts myself will be my best bet. But yeah I'm gonna struggle to get all the parts in wa unless I get a wrecking one and even those are quite hard to find! How much to you think the Max price I should pay is to get it all sorted out? I know that's a pretty broad question... I think I need some 4wd lessons or a few trips with some auszookers just so I can figure out the best way to drive the old girl!
Insurance will definitely write it off, due to its age, then NO Zook... just fix it up yourself... it may be a long shot, but if Suzistore dont have any parts, try here -
Suzuki 4X4 Wreckers? 10 Rimmer Rd, Landsdale WA 6065 (08) 9309 2444
Or even try here, if you are desperate, they may charge you a bit more -
Suzukishop Unit 2, 375 Sevenoaks St Cannington WA 6107 (08) 9350 5289 (08) 9358 0686
I think $700 should cover all your bits...
Now you are talking, yes definitely come on a AZ trip, you will learn alot, especially the capabilities of " the old girl ", and what lines to take to keep this rolling from happening again !

sideways idea on the half-doors is a good one... definitely going to save you a fair bit of cash doing that - then you just need the targa bar and window frame which should be easily attainable at a wrecker...
like the others said, dont worry about the colour right now, just get it back on the road in time for leavers and fix it all once you source some doors later.

im going to augusta so i was keen to get her out on the beach (mabye not dunes :p), and thanks heaps for doing that! youre a legend mate, gave me a bit of hope as i have spent today going around to wreckers and only found one sierra. the guy wanted $275 for a targa bar... i dont know what they go for but to me that seems a bit pricey!
alien, yep i think cutting the window frames off is a great idea for now atleast! the wreckers i went to today wanted $550 for each door, so i dont think ill be going there!
cheers for your comments everyone, helps heaps !

It just sucks because I just finished year 12 and was planning to take her to leavers in 26 days I hope I can get her asset roadworthy for then! I'm struggling to find parts, I've been looking heaps! But a few links you have posted have helped a lot! So thanks guys! I'll keep you posted and get some pics up once the sun comes up today!
So sorry to hear you rolled the zook mate
At least the damage is not worse!... Still a pain tho!
Just take your time...
At least it does not have a bent chassis like my mum's sierra I wrote off

i understand the pressure of getting the car done B4 leavers im in the exact same boat!
idk what sorta price they will be asking, last time i went down to get parts they werent to keen on a huge discount for me. if it were up to my mate i would get em for free, but at the end of the day, pete is running a bussiness and needs to make money from it. hes a nice bloke so im sure he will help ya out if he can. but i know its getting hard to get sierra parts in WA.
also dunes are prety easy bro. here are some tips
-dont smash you brakes,
-try to use gears, to slow down.
-avoid side slopes at ALL costs.
-if ur comming down a dune use the same gear as you would to go up
-avoid gear changes on the incline/decline
-if your worried about going arse over head. use your hand brake rather than pedal.
-and always aim to stop at the crest, because razor backs will fuck you up big time
-and if you dont feel confident on somthing dont do it
-oh and dont try doing roostys like its a quad. coz ull end up doing rolly pollys instead

Really mate?! Where are you headin? Where abouts in Perth are ya from?
Cheers for the dunes info, I really should have done my research instead of being cocky and going out there. Gotta admit, I had the most fun ever before I rolled it haha!
I went to Tonys auto wreckers in midland for those prices. Any good wreckers you know of?

HOLY ****. I think you need to start looking in the Eastern States (particularly QLD) where Sierras are MUCH more common as those prices are laughable.
I sold a targa bar and door rails for a bottle of rum about 12 months back.
Stuff wreckers and start looking privately IMO (wreckers charge at insurance company prices).
Doors should be no more than $150 ea complete. Windscreen surround maybe $200 and definitely no more than $150 for a targa bar.

Also just found both Sierra doors for 100 bucks together! Way better than 550 a door IMO
