Wow. I wouldn't be using that for recovery any more. Is the bullbar airbag compliant or anything? Because this is where I'd be looking to mount the recovery point:

Either take from those three points and go straight down and slightly back for clearance or cut a slice out of your bar and go through the front. If the car has airbags though both of these will compromise the crush zone.

Yep she has Airbags so the bar is Airbag compliant :(

Going off that mount would result in the bar comming off...

That recovery point was incorrectly mounted - the triangular fin is designed to act as a gusset and bear against the chassis rail as shown below

There has been some discussion as to whether the actual recovery point should face forward but I believe the jury is still out on that.

Yeah I understand that, the correct mounting was shown on the first page. My concerns are related to the bent hoop rather than the support of the recovery addition.

I think the bottom plate should face forwards. Facing backwards will put alot of upwards force on the can opener.

Well... the Stock hoop had let go on one side...

They have fixed it by either TIG or MIG welding it back on in a Slightly different location (Cleaned the area then re-attached the whole thing) They have warned me though not to get recovered by a vehicle such as an F-250.. as they will not guarantee the welds will hold..(They actually used the Phrase 50 tonne truck)

(Not real sure what method it was but it looks like the stock welds)
Its to be used as a last resort when all other methods of recovery have been tried E.I Backwards/Dug out/Maxx Traxx/Highlift Jack...
