The first Holden Combos ran a pair of single parabolic leafs in the back and they were long. Food for thought.

As do transit vans. A possible concern with the combo springs is they aren't designed to counter any drive torque.

There we go, it took a while but we got there in the end. Thank you for your informative response as too why the spring rate won't work it makes perfect sense now. If that's the case I will steer well clear of them. I have just found out we have a custom spring works in the Bay so I'm going to shoot out there now and see what they can do for me.

Sounds like you need to find this out for yourself though- go right ahead.

You'll find ultimately that chasing increased rear wheel travel is a whole lot of work that actually does very little for the capability of the car.

Now that explains it much clearer!!!! I did put a reply here but it seems to not have worked. If that's the case I'll steer clear of em. Just being told they are crap and won't work doesn't cut it for me. But I can see what your saying about the camber used to achieve 3'' won't work when fattened out, thnx for the advice.
