Actually, I might pick your brain while you're here. What would you recommend to reinforce the top and bottom of the floor? Do you reckon some thick flat bar top and bottom would do the trick?

if height is an issue id look at maybe recessing something like 57 x 35 though the floor picking up the sides as well and with a folded 90 deg lip on floor pan spot welded to rhs and the seam sealed.
you really need the depth to give it strength and you be suprised how much force is on that rail just with you sitting on the seat hitting a bump.
you maybe able to put a beam tpo and bottom but I cant picture the underside. Ill have a look at mine and get back to you.
