ok i installed the falcon alterator in my zook noticed my lights where real doll the other night but brightened up as i ut my foot down so i thought it would be something to to do with an earth so i unplugged every thing electric that i put on it as it was running good till then whilst doing so i found out that my alterator is geting 14.5 volts in to it aswell as putting that much out im kinda confused as how ive stuffed up cheers buzzy |

Try changing your wires. One is a sense the other the battery feed I think. Either way try the swap it might work??? |

you should be getting 14.5 volts to charge up the battery. but how much equipment were you running? you have to much load on the alterator. |

Disconnect the coil HT lead and put your hand on the end of the coil and then crank the engine over. If you get a little tingle then its not the alternator. If there is no tingle try putting battery acid in your eye |

Be sensible guys, someone may take something posted here seriously... sorry but i find that kinda funny if someone is dumb enough to even take that seriously they shouldnt be near a car i lost my great uncle/pops twin brother to a explosion he was an engineer/welder was given the task of welding up a tanker it had been drained and cleaned out properly (aparently) how ever once he touched the rod to the tank boom up it went moral of the story is its not so much about the pertol its self its the fumes that r the real flamable item |

X2 Drive belt to the alternator sounds like it could be a little loose. Doesn't take much, the falcon alts tend to need pretty good tension to keep em turning fast enough. |

how do you know its drawing power/ do you have a clamp amp meter to check? whats your battery voltage engine off, at idle at 2000rpm and at 2000rpm with all the electrical stuff turned on? the coil thing is fun, I have got 2 people to do that, one even did it twice

ok better way of wording it would be that there is 14.5 volts going in to the alterator as well as coming out and yer wasnt really silly enough to take tzars advice on that one lol |

B4T x2 Are you taking about the sence wire or the charge wire??? 
They should both read 14.5 volts |

ill get pics tomorrow to explain better the origanal wires that have the suzuki plug i cut that off and worked out wat was wat and used the female clamp clips that is wats putting the 14 volts to the alterator thats y im a bit confused |

Sence wire should have 14.5v (or what ever current charge at battery is) This is to control the internal regulator |

ok it turns out my alternator is cactus had a auto sparcy have a look at it and the alternator is spiking and dripping causin my lights to die so might have to put the original alternator back in |
